Nature, Light, Reflection by Byron Gibbs

OPENING NIGHT - July 10th
RUN TIME - July 7th to Aug 1st, 2025
Artist Statement
"My inspiration begins and ends with The Creator, The Creator of all things. How He paints the skies at sunrise and sunset. His strategic placement of clouds to adorn the sun and its rays. And His brilliant use of color and texture to reveal the glory of every coming season.

My sole and exclusive approach to art is simply…imagination. This allows me the freedom to go anywhere my inspiration leads me, and the complementary wisdom to discern the proper tools and mediums to share enriching visual messages with an esteemed worldwide audience--in striking depth and dimension."

Artist Bio
Byron Gibbs is a storehouse of
endless awe and creativity. For the past 30 years, he has been setting the standard as a celebrated chef, Inspirational singer-songwriter -- and most recently as a fine artist. At the suggestion of his late 90-year-old friend, Maria Corbin, Byron began his painting adventure in 2013, using a photo of a sunrise he took while fishing. With her stamp of approval, Byron quickly amassed hundreds of paintings within a short time, winning the favor of museum curators and art lovers fascinated by his diverse range of work.

Byron Gibbs resides in Sharon, Pennsylvania and is often commissioned to create unforgettable experiences in culinary arts, visual arts, and special music for high-profile events, community gatherings, and sacred ceremonies.  Byron’s Debut CD, Endless Praise, was released in 2005 and continues to enrich listeners across the United States and beyond. Byron is currently working on a Sophomore album project, and excited about his latest experiential endeavor: Chef Byron Gibbs’ Touring Art & Music Exhibition.

My Enchanted Roadtrip by Gail Trunick

OPENING NIGHT - June 5th
RUN TIME - June 1st to 27th, 2025

Artist Statement

“I work with gritty, grog-filled clay that lends itself to rough, gestural expression. It refuses to smooth or soften into fine detail, but rather gives way to textural statements filled with pronouncements of life's lessons.

My work represents life filled with moments frozen in time, moments where, as humans, we have had to reach for strength, for better understanding and for a deeper depth of meaning.
Picture
These stoneware pieces are completed in a single firing and my finishes are created using a variety of methods and materials. Very loose, painterly applications add texture and layers that convey the building up of time and character. As youth is still soft in color, texture and line, age increases the layers and depth. Often incorporating discarded objects into my sculpture, they not only provide contrast in material but add to the narrative with their individual stories and symbolism."
