Construction Trades Program

Picture

The Construction Trades (CT) Training Program is designed to teach entry-level core skills necessary to enter the residential and commercial construction trades. Skills include safety, hand/power tool usage, framing and concrete. Students will also gain an introduction to and hands-on experience of  most construction components including carpentry, roofing, electrical and plumbing.

Graduates of this program can enter the workforce as entry-level construction technicians. Students will complete modules to prepare them to successfully pass NCCER module testing and obtain NCCER credentials in Masonry, Carpentry, Plumbing, and Electrical and obtain OSHA certification. To prepare, students will be evaluated on daily professional development, classroom, and lab work.

The program runs twice each year, with one cohort in the fall and another in the spring.

*HopeCAT provides a one-time institutional grant to individuals to cover tuition, materials, and fees*
