Stained Glass Class: Learn the Complete Tiffany Style Method NOTE: FOUR session workshop
Instructor: Lynne Provance Description: Learn Tiffany-style stained glass in this 4-session, 12-hour workshop for adults 18+. Under instructor Lynne Provance, create a finished 8” x 8” zinc-framed piece using the complete foil method. Students may design their own piece, convert a photo, or choose an instructor pattern (up to 20 pieces). Class is limited to 4 participants. Bird Stained Glass Make & Take WorkshopInstructor: Lynne Provance
Description: Create your own beautiful stained glass bird in this hands-on Make & Take workshop taught by international stained-glass artist Lynne Provance. Participants will design and assemble one 8” x 8” ready-to-hang stained glass piece featuring a bird design, finished with a zinc frame. You’ll learn essential stained glass techniques in a supportive, small-group setting, and leave with a completed piece to proudly display at home. No experience necessary! Scratching the Surface: A Guide to Decorating Ceramic ArtNOTE: TWO session workshop
Instructor: Quinn Hanna Description: In this 2-session workshop, students will explore creative surface decoration techniques for ceramic artwork. Participants will work with both commercial and unconventional materials. The 1st session focuses on decorating wet clay through sgraffito using slips and underglazes, applying silkscreens directly onto clay, and properly using underglaze transfers while altering imagery through collage. In the 2nd session, students will work with bisque-fired pieces to experiment with glazing and inlaying stains, learning thoughtful approaches to color, texture, and surface design. Fire Alcohol Ink WorkshopInstructor: Deb Derrenbacher
Description: Join us on April 30th from 6pm–8pm for a bold and exciting workshop hosted by local artist Deb Derrenbacher. In this hands-on class, participants will create a vibrant 6” ceramic tile artwork using alcohol inks, and a little fire. Students will learn how to safely manipulate alcohol inks and briefly ignite the alcohol with a lighter to create stunning organic patterns, movement, and one-of-a-kind color blends. The result? Iris Paper Folding WorkshopInstructor: Deb Derrenbacher
Description: Join us on May 28th from 6pm–8pm for a creative evening of paper art with local artist Deb Derrenbacher! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the mesmerizing technique of Iris Paper Folding, a method of layering strips of paper in a spiraled pattern to create beautiful, dimensional designs. Using colorful papers and guided templates, participants will create their own stunning finished piece perfect for framing or gifting.
