Our Artist Residency program is a unique, immersive opportunity for emerging and established artists to develop their practice, teach aspiring young artists, and become part of a thriving creative community.

What We Offer

Residence

The Work-Exchange Model

In return for these benefits, each Resident Artist commits to 24 hours of work per week (Monday through Friday). This time will be spent primarily assisting in our Youth Arts program, working alongside HopeCAT Teaching Artists across various studios. Residents will also have opportunities to lead demonstrations, workshops and community engagement activities.

Eligibility ​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art or Art Education 
  • Graduate students or professionals with at least three years of experience preferred 
  • Passion for community engagement, teaching and mentorship ​
