Ceramics Firing Workshop: Coco & RakuInstructor: Christian Kuharik
Description: Celebrate this holiday season with the art of Raku! Participants will select a handcrafted ceramic piece made by artist Christian Kuharik and apply special glazes designed for this unique firing process. Once glazed, the pieces will be fired in our outdoor Raku kiln, where flames, smoke, and heat combine to create one-of-a-kind surface markings. No two pieces are ever the same. Dress for the weather (and to make a mess!) and enjoy a cup of coco while you experience the excitement of Raku firing firsthand. Oil Painting Class: Water, Light, Reflection NOTE: THREE session workshop
Instructor: Byron Gibbs Description: Learn to paint water, reflection and light with local artist Byron Gibbs. This oil painting class is for beginner/intermediate oil painters who want to build on what they already know! You will leave with a painting and understanding of creating light in reflection using oil paint. The image you will be working off od for reference.
